iTero® Element™ Intraoral Scanner
Until fairly recently, the only way a dentist could take an impression of your teeth was by placing a tray filled with thick and sticky modeling compound in your mouth. The process was unavoidably uncomfortable and bothersome because the trays had to remain in place for several minutes. And if the mold wasn’t clear, then the process had to be repeated. Now, however, modern technology offers a new way of capturing an impression that is not only easier but also far more accurate. The iTero® Element™ Intraoral Scanner produces 3D impressions that Dr. Oshin can view immediately and that help him create dental implants, crowns, bridges, and even Invisalign®clear braces that are more accurate than ever before.
Advanced Technology Provides Clearer Impressions
The new iTero®Element™Intraoral Scanner is specifically designed so that Dr. Oshin can now quite literally have digital scans at his fingertips accurately and quickly. Simply using the handheld wand, Dr. Oshin is able to capture images of one or more teeth. The newest model is also 40 percent smaller and lighter than previous designs, making the technology more comfortable for you and easier for Dr. Oshin to work with. Moreover, 3D images are viewed instantly on a 19-inch high-definition, multi-touch display with gyro technology that allows Dr. Oshin to rotate the model and see the image from many different angles.
Safety and Comfort
The images that appear on the iTero display are laser generated and appear in detailed, high definition. In addition, iTero’s digital technology ensures that the images are accurate from the start—theirs is never the need to retake an impression. Thus, your comfort is certain and you save time at an appointment.
